Overview

Bookademia is a concept app designed during my first product design course. It aims to provide an intuitive and engaging platform for book enthusiasts to discover, organize, and share their reading journeys. By combining UX research, user-centric design, and clean UI aesthetics, Bookademia was built to encourage readers to connect with their literary interests seamlessly.

I began the project by identifying key user groups, focusing on avid readers and casual book lovers. Through research, I gained insights into their challenges with existing reading platforms.


Key Insights:

  • Users wanted a more personalized way to discover books based on their preferences.

  • Keeping track of their reading progress across devices was a common pain point.

  • A community-driven experience (e.g., reviews, recommendations) was highly desired.


Research Methods:

  • Interviews: Conducted with 8 users to understand their reading habits and frustrations.

  • Surveys: Collected data on how users currently find, organize, and share books.
